Winter finally hit after some record high temps in East Tennessee. A couple days ago we were all in shorts and t-shirts, it felt like a summer day! But like a lot of people from TN will say, if you don't like the weather, just wait 10 min!
This morning we woke up to snow covering the farm, it was beautiful! The kids and I decided we needed some homemade hot cocoa topped with our homemade beef gelatin marshmallows! (We get our beef gelatin from azure)
Here is our recipe:
2 cups raw milk
3 tablespoons organic cocoa
2-3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (we prefer maple syrup)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
*optional* pinch of salt
We whisk it in a pot on the stove and pour in the vanilla last! I topped these with our homemade marshmallows (video on youtube to come!) and our favorite sprinkles that don't have any artificial dyes!
If you make it, be sure to let me know and tag me on Instagram!
Happy Baking!
